Valentine’s Day is a special occasion that is celebrated by people all around the world as a day of love and appreciation for those who are special to them. At Ably Soft, we believe that the spirit of Valentine’s Day also extends to the love and appreciation that we have for our colleagues, team members, and the work that we do together.

Whether it’s to show appreciation to your colleagues or simply spread some positivity, Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to create a more joyful and productive work environment. At work, it could be a fun and lighthearted way to break up the monotony of the workdays and have some fun.

At Ably Soft, the morning began with a heartfelt email wishing everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day. It was heartwarming to see that some of our colleagues shared their hand-heart pictures with us, which were not only adorable but also helped set a positive vibe for the rest of the day

To gain more insights into what our colleagues think about Valentine’s Day and what it means to them, we reached out to a few members of our team. We asked them a series of Valentine’s day trivia questions. All of them enthusiastically answered all the questions with utmost honesty.

They took some time out of their busy schedules and shared some hilarious and interesting answers. Here are some of the fun responses we received:

Q: If you are given a chance to write yourself a love note, what would you write?

Hey Nikhil,

“I fall in love every time I see you in the mirror”.

Hey Cutiepie,

“You have immense strength. You are the kind of girl who doesn’t need big reasons to be happy and can find happiness in little things. You are kind and this is your uniqueness. When you do your best and work hard to make your family happy you become the best girl in this world. Also, keep doing great and loving yourself unconditionally”.

Initially, I was confused by the wedding card but as I opened it, I found a beautiful Valentine’s day card inside. I must say it was a very creative and hilarious idea.”

“I think my most precious gift is the love and pampering I receive from my parents. They give me their utmost attention and treat me as if I am their world.”

“A love letter.”

Q: Share five things you love.

“As I am a movie buff, if I have to answer 5 things I love, I would say Ana de Armas from five different movies.”

My five things are:

  • I love giving surprises to my family, and friends, and spending time with them.
  • I love to make my family happy.
  • As I am a big shopaholic, I love to buy new clothes, bags, and shoes.

Well, I would say:

  • Nothing makes me happier than sunny days, especially in winter.

  • Fairy lights hanging anywhere just lifts up my mood instantly.
  • And, I admire the color brown the most.

Q: Any Valentine’s Day memory you would like to share?

“My friend wanted to go on a long drive with his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day, So I lend him my car so that they can enjoy the day. This experience reminded me that it’s the small things in life that matter and that we can all do our part to make someone else’s day a little brighter.”

Q: What is the sweetest thing you’ve ever done for someone on Valentine’s Day?

“Although I am single, still I wanted to make this day memorable. So I bought some chocolates and distributed them to the less fortunate children I could find around me. The smiles on their faces made my day and talking to them gave me immense happiness.”

“This morning to myself. Not at all while showering.”

I am mostly into Hollywood movies and my favourite ones are:

  • Chungking Express
  • La La Land
  • Fallen Angels
  • Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind.

“The most romantic movie I have ever seen is The Notebook. I can watch this movie again and again without getting bored.”

“My all-time favourite movie is Ram Leela. It’s a masterpiece made by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and is an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet.”

“I am a movie buff I love to watch movies, series, and whatnot, however, if I have to pick romantic movies then Before Sunrise, How to lose a guy in 10 days, and, Tamasha are my favorites.”

Q: What do you think is the true meaning of Valentine’s Day?

“With so much hype all around the world for Valentine’s day, I actually feel quite the opposite. According to me, it’s just a normal day for those who are loyal by heart and celebrate their love every day rather than celebrating it just for one day.”

“In my opinion, Valentine’s Day is not only meant for romantic love but also for appreciating and thanking your friends, family, and office colleagues for being there with you in your thick and thin. I consider Valentine’s Day a day to express my love and appreciation to them. As it is very important to tell your loved ones how much you love them and value them, and Valentine’s Day is a good opportunity to do that.”

It was exciting to get to know our co-workers and their unique perspectives on Valentine’s Day. We had a lot of fun asking them these lighthearted questions, and we hope our readers will enjoy learning a bit more about the people behind our office doors.

In the end, thanks to all the participants for answering all the questions with utmost vivacity and bringing some levity to the conversation.
